A great alternative for non divers
A mask, fins and snorkel offers a good alternative for non-divers. Nevertheless, no one can ever say that you will see less than you will see with diving. And that’s certainly true: snorkeling gives you the opportunity to see a world you’ve never seen before!
Going snorkeling offers a great outcome for the whole family, irrespective of age. If you can swim and float, it is just a matter of putting on a diving mask and get used to a snorkel. Breathing through a snorkel can be unpleasant at the beginning, but the coast offers enough outcome to practice until you’re ready and start enjoying the stunning sea below you!
There are special spots, which are marked (as the dive spots) with yellow bricks. On this website, tap at the button “things to do” and choose “subcategories” and you will find the Dive Guide where you will find all locaties as well.
Click here to visit the “Dive Guide” This guide is for both divers and snorkelers, and per location is indicated whether or not it is suitable for snorkel fun. The beauty of snorkeling is that you really can do it anywhere. The water is very clear on (almost) all places and the shining sun makes it even more enjoyable because you can see everything! The colorful sea, the variety of fish, nothing will be missed with a diving mask and snorkel.
However, a disadvantage is that you’re less protected than when you’re diving. Fortunately, there is nothing dangerous in the sea around the Carribean except for the burning sun! Wherever you are and whatever you do, it is a lovely alternation for relaxing moments.
