GoGreen Farmers’ Market is held this month on Saturday, February 26, 2011. The market will be held in front of the Catholic church in Kralendijk.  It will open at 8:00 AM and run through 2:00 PM, but it’s recommended to get there early for the best selection. Visitors will find locally grown produce and food items, as well as plants and herbs and spices.  It’s a great way to meet the locals and spend time browsing the stalls.

On Sunday March 4 Special Olympics Bonaire organises the Walk-a-Thon for the 10th time. This is a fun and spotive funsraising event of a distance of 34 km. You can walk, run, bike or rollerskate. The event starts at 5 am in the south of the island at the slavehuts and the finish is in Rincon. Tickets will be sold March 2 at the Hotel Rochaline from 5 PM to 7 PM in the Kaya Grandi at $ 15,- This includes a t-shirt, a cap, drinks and fruits on route.
